Following service with the United States Armed Forces when he rose to the rank of Captain, Ray Shoemaker turned his leadership skills and business acumen to the world of healthcare and neither he nor the industry has looked back since. Ray himself can list accolades such as awards from the Modern Healthcare magazine and Memphis Business Journal, and can also claim to be the driving force behind turning around the fortunes of one healthcare center and tripling the revenue of another.
More recently, he has founded Rural Healthcare Developers, an organization dedicated to the provision of high quality healthcare to people living in rural areas – something that many would consider has only been offered to people living in major cities and large towns. As well as this, Ray is writing a book on leadership where he shares many of the secrets that have helped him succeed in everything he has done professionally; an attribute that he believes was learned during his time serving in the Army.
The healthcare leadership program established by Ray Shoemaker works with healthcare professionals in order to give them the skills that are required to drive them forward within healthcare institutions, hospitals, and other venues. Training seminars are regularly filled with young and upcoming professionals looking to enjoy the same level of success that Ray continues to enjoy in everything he does while Rural Healthcare Providers provides analysis and management for health centers in more remote locations.
